Aldersgate Church & Society Service Opportunities
Interfaith Hospitality Network: Provide lodging and support for temporarily homeless families as they “get back on their feet." Aldersgate hosts IHN four separate weeks throughout the year.

Provide/serve meals: dinner or breakfast
-
Provide supplies as needed
-
Coordinate/help line up volunteers (do calling)

Be a host from about 5:15-8:00 p.m.

Stay overnight (from 8:00 p.m.-6:15 a.m.) mattresses and private room provided
Van Driver
Morning Route:
Evening Route:

Key for van will be given to Volunteer Coordinator. Receive key on Sunday morning.

Arrive at the IHN Day Center between 6:15-6:25 AM. Drive the van to the church to arrive no later than 6:35 AM. Van will be loaded at 6:40 AM to be at the Day Center no later than 6:55 AM.

Assist guests in entering and exiting the van as needed.

Ensure all passengers can find their seatbelts and are belted in.

Ensure all children are secured in appropriate car seats.

Remember safety at all times. All plenty of time so you do not feel rushed.

Drive guests to IHN Day center.

Upon arrival, ensure passengers have removed all their items and lunches from van.

Lock van and take key back in to the Day Center, unless you are the evening driving that day.

Arrive at the IHN Day Center by 4:45 PM.

If you need a key, pick it up from the Day Center or make arrangements with previous driver.

Assist guests in entering and exiting the van as needed.

Ensure all passengers can find their seatbelts and are belted in.

Ensure all children are secured in appropriate car seats.

Leave Day Center in van at 5:00 PM and drive guests to the church.

Ensure passengers have removed all their items from the van.

Return to center in van to pick up your vehicle.

Take van keys to Van Volunteer for next morning.
