“Aldersgate United Methodist Church challenges individuals to grow deeper in their Christian walk. We offer a wide range of activities for children and youth to grow in their faith.”
Sunday School 10:50 am
The adventure is about to begin! This year we’re going exploring together through the depths and heights of God’s love and God’s word. Our 1st-5th grade Sunday school class will build friendships and explore one central Bible story in each six week unit. Each week will provide a new twist, though, as we use story drama, science, art, games, missions, and spiritual practices for learning that really makes an impact.
The preschool-kindergarten Sunday school class will journey with their friends through stories and activities designed specially for them.
Meet up with your crew in the sanctuary at 10:50 AM each week starting September 17 to join the fun!
Wednesday Family Night
Wednesday family nights are a great opportunity for us to build friendships and inter-generational relationships and to let God’s word encourage and shape us.
At our 5:30 dinner kids will be organized into table groups who eat together each week and practice what it means to lead, serve and care for one another as they lead our prayers and help with clean-up. A shared meal can be such an ordinary but powerful experience!
From 6:00-7:00 pm (note we are ending earlier this year!) the elementary kids will head to their class where they will journey through the Bible in a year, helping them experience God’s great big story and how the smaller stories they know all fit together. We hope you’ll join us! The experience won’t be the same without you!
Children in 3rd grade to adults are empowered to demonstrate that Jesus is the Light of the world by lighting the altar candles and assisting in worship services.
Spiritual Development: The fundamental reason that Aldersgate UMC exists is for individuals to be connected to God and community. Aldersgate UMC believes in creating opportunities and resourcing persons of all ages so they may find a deeper connection with God. We invite you into a process that builds community and allows persons to dive deeper into their faith exploring what it means to be a follower of Christ.
We are dedicated to providing a safe environment for everyone within the church. Which means all Children’s and Youth Volunteers have been through training, background checks, and continued instruction on creating a safe environment within our church.
