Here at Aldersgate we consider music a vital part of our community, but most importantly a way to connect with God. Here are the following ensembles that we offer at Aldersgate:

Glorifying God together in Music!

Chancel Choir

Aldergate UMC Chancel Choir is a 30 person mixed choir that performs in both services through the year. The choirs’ repertoire varies from traditional to contemporary hymns, and standard choral music repertoire. In the past, the Chancel Choir has performed in seasonal cantatas, the yearly Christmas and Easter programs.
The Chancel Choir Rehearsals are Wednesdays from 7:00 to 8:00 pm in the choir room.

Praise Ringers

The Aldersgate UMC Praise Ringers, conducted by Kim Field, is a 3-4 octave bell choir that plays a wide variety of music styles. Their repertoire varies from traditional to contemporary arrangements of hymns, praise songs, and music specially commissioned for this ensemble. The Praise Ringers perform every third Sunday of each month and in every special calendar event such as the Christmas & Easter program.

The Praise Ringers rehearse every Wednesday from 6:00 to 7:00 pm in the sanctuary.

Instrumental Ensemble

 The Aldersgate UMC Instrumental ensemble is a fairly new ensemble also conducted by Kim Field. The ensemble consists of three clarinets, one flute, and one trombone. Aldersgate UMC Instrumental ensemble performs up to four times during the year, including the Christmas and Easter programs.

The Aldersgate UMC Instrumental Ensemble rehearse on Wednesday’s from 8:00-8:45 in the sanctuary.


Forever Faithful

Forever faithful is a 5 person mixed choir ensemble that performs regularly in Aldersgate worship services. Forever faithful’s repertoire consists of more challenging arrangements of traditional hymns, contemporary hymns, standard choral repertoire, but also choir pieces for small ensembles.

Forever faithful’s rehearsal varies on Wednesday nights from 8:00 to 8:45 pm.

God’s Good Guys and Treble Choir

God’s Good Guys and the Aldersgate UMC treble choir are chamber groups of male and women’s voices, respectively, that perform frequently during the year. The repertoire for each group are tailored for the performance at hand but are not restrained to standard treble and bass choral repertoire.

God’s Good Guys and the Treble Choir rehearsal varies on Wednesday nights from 8:00 to 8:45 pm.
